Laura Rossi studied Lingue e Letterature Straniere at the Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore in Milan, where she graduated in 2002 with a thesis on the application of Machine Translation in the localization field. In 2003 she moved to the Netherlands, where she specialized in different translation/localization roles for a number of  multinational companies. In 2009 she joined LexisNexis Univentio B.V., where she currently holds the position of Manager Language Technology Solutions, leading a highly-specialized development team in projects related to ‘languages and translation’, ranging from high-scale machine translation to natural language processing and advanced search solutions. She is also responsible for designing and supporting the company localization processes and efforts.
